“There is no path other than the path which you weave for yourselves. You create your own light, you create your own pattern, you create the stepping stones for your feet, and you create the mud holes in which you so often flounder.” This is an extract from the discourse “the meaning of words” by Lai Yung.

Original circle group in Cairns
The original circle group in Cairns used to convene one Saturday every month to hear discourses from the guides who spoke through the medium John Lawton. There were two main guides. Firstly there was Rani Lash who worked on the first ray of will and power. Next we have Lai Yung, master of happiness who worked on the second ray of love wisdom. On more rare occasions another visitor guide would make a presentation to the group. On one occasion the guide Ra Iman Hopteph who worked on the fifth ray of synthesis gave a discourse, which was a defining moment for me personally. In this discourse it was pointed out that the slave or victim is equally the master when the circumstances are reversed. We all have the choice to work under law of force or spiritual law. Law of force is where the biggest bully wins and spiritual law is where everyone is equal and everybody wins.
Agenda Format for Circle group
Firstly everyone would all sit in a circle and we would recite the opening payer Oh Celestial Over Soul. Next the guides would come through and give a discourse. At the end of the session the guides would take some questions from group members. Next the members who requested healing would sit in the middle of the circle and receive spiritual healing from everyone in the group as well as the guides in spirit. Spiritual healing in essence is increasing energy to dissolve resistance. In conclusion we would all recite the closing payer of repentance.
Oh celestial over soul light of the universe thou center of being from which all pours forth and to which all returns. Pour forth thy love and thy wisdom upon these thy servants that they may become strong and worthy instruments for the fulfilling of thy service in the world of men.
The prayer of repentance
We repent Oh god most merciful; for all our sins; for every thought that was false or unjust or unclean; for every word spoken that ought not to have been spoken; for every deed done that ought not to have been done.
We repent for every deed and word and thought inspired by selfishness and for every deed and word and thought inspired by hatred.
We repent most specially for every lustful thought and every lustful action; for every lie; for all hypocrisy; for every promise given but not fulfilled and for all slander and backbiting.
Most especially also we repent for every action that has brought ruin to others and for every wish that pain should be befall others.
In your unbounded mercy! We ask you to forgive us, Oh god for all these sins committed by us and to forgive us for our constant failures to think and speak and act according to your will.
